To fans eager for the latest Attack on Titan, this anime's "Next time" preview for episode 80, "From You, 2000 Years Ago," teases medieval battles, the Fritz family, and Titan history. The second half of the fourth and final series began airing in January 2021.
WIT Studio put together this preview, which shows the Scouts training with swords and bows, so they can battle against the Titans. The preview starts with Eren Yeger reminiscing while he looks at a baby photo that says "From You, 2000 Years Ago," before the new cast of characters are introduced.
History has revealed that the Fritz family is responsible for creating the world of Titans, but episode 80 will take things a step further by setting some of its events in medieval times (a reference to a "dark ages" comment from Eren's dream of his father Grisha Yeager). As for exactly why the story goes there, we'll have to wait and see.
